Exciting news

In 2015 I started hand painting my designs onto canvases. This is an exciting new development for Studio Stitches needlepoint kits because I gives me the freedom to produce small quantities of new designs more often.

Hand painting my canvases means I can have an idea for a design one day, draw it up, paint it the next day and have it on the website for you in record time. I can also play with the colours, make adjustments and generally control the process from beginning to end. Yippee!

I paint every canvas myself, and while the essential design is the same, each canvas is slightly different making every kit unique.

Commissions

Hand painting designs means customers can commission their own colour variation at no extra cost.

This is a recent commission from L.P. (her third) commission this time Liz chose the Forget-Me-Not design https://studiostitches.com.au/product/hand-painted-needlepoint-cushion-kit/but in autumn shades to compliment her daughters new curtains.

Liz send me an image of the curtains and I sent her some colour combinations till we were both happy with the result. It’s that easy!

When she finished the cushion Liz sent a message that reads: Done! I’ll now have to do one for my son! Thanks Barbara!! Good fun

What do I get in a hand painted kit?

As with all my designs kits include everything you need to stitch your needlepoint:

Coloured 10 count mono cotton canvas
Plenty of DMC wool to complete your needlepoint
Two needlepoint needles
Detailed instructions and personal follow up if needed
A practical calico bag to keep your needlepoint clean and tidy while storing everything you need for your project.
